Financial links between the Gulen Movement and Gulen charter schools
Whenever the issue of the connection of the Gulen charter schools to the Gulen Movement arises, Gulenists assert that there is “no organic tie” between the movement and the schools. Presumably, they intend this to mean that no paper or financial trail can provide a link.
Nevertheless, some financial links can be demonstrated.
We present an example of financial connections between the Niagara Foundation, Niagara Education Services, Concept Schools (which runs the Horizon Science Academies, Wisconsin Career Academy, Indiana Math and Science Academy, all public charter schools), Breeze (a for-profit real estate company) and the private Science Academy of Chicago.
These connections clearly demonstrate financial ties between the charter schools and the Gulen Movement.
The Niagara Foundation is Gulenist; Fethullah Gulen is its honorary president.
