Lawsuits against Gulen charter schools
A number of lawsuits have been filed against Gulen charter schools. Nearly all are civil rights suits, and it appears that all were ultimately settled out of court. A partial list of federal cases is given here (this list does not contain cases filed with state, county or municipal courts). Some of the information was obtained from the Justia website. Associated documents were obtained through the PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) system. For some cases, the documents stating the plaintiff's complaint were not available through this system. Legal expenses for such lawsuits are paid out of a charter school's budget, that is, with money that was given to the school by the government for students' education.
