Sait Yavuz and brothers

Muhammet Sait Yavuz (a.k.a. Sait Yavuz, M. Sait Yavuz, Muhammet Yavuz, Said Yavuz, Savit Yavuz) has affiliations with both the Gulen Institute and the Cosmos Foundation in Texas.  He is also an editor for the Blue Dome Press, a Gulenist publishing outlet.  He was a speaker at a Gulen conference at the Nigerian Turkish Nile University, a Gulen university in Abuja, Nigeria, in November 2011.  He is also on the editorial board of an upcoming Gulen conference to be held in Taiwan in December 2012.  The following two images are screenshots taken from the Fall 2009 issue of "The Tower," (Vol. 4 No. 1) a newsletter of the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Central Oklahoma (pdf link; highlighting was added).  Note the admission that Harmony Public Schools are Gulen schools.

(Aside: the statement above, that Gulen schools are non-religious, is inaccurate; see here, here and here.)
In a campaign filing for Alma Allen (a Texas state representative), Mr. Yavuz, now using the name Muhammet Yavuz, is shown to have reported his employer as the Cosmos Foundation, which runs the Harmony Public Schools charter school chain (pdf link).

Muhammet Sait Yavuz has two brothers, Mustafa Selman Yavuz and Cafer Yavuz (a.k.a. Cafer Tayyar Yavuz, Jeff Yavuz), who also have connections to the Gulen Movement:

SETA think tank (Washington DC and Turkey)

The following diagram of connections centered around the Washington-based SETA think tank (with a branch in Turkey as well) illustrates ties between Gulen charter schools and the Gulen Movement, as well as additional ties to Turkey's AKP government.  The Gulen Movement is also vying for influence in the Brookings Institution, one of Washington's most influential think tanks.

That SETA is affiliated with the Gulen Movement is mentioned in an Aug 13, 2010 report of the Congressional Research Service by Carol Migdalovitz.  Hurriyet and Prospect Magazine (and Stratfor, in leaked emails) have noted SETA's connections to Turkey's ruling AKP Party, which has been closely allied with the Gulen Movement for years, although recently some tensions have visible between these two groups.

SETA's website is produced by Zeitin Design, a company involved with several other Gulenist websites, including that of Chesapeake Math & IT Academy.
